After smoking 1 to 2 packs of cigarettes a day for 25 years I eventually managed to quit. Its been hard going and I've been clean for about 5 years, but strangely still crave cigarettes from time to time. So food has become a substitute as I constantly battle to keep my weight under control. This venture is a celebration of well-being and can only happen because of the clean lifestyle choices that I have made. I want to inspire and encourage the world to join me.
This is a huge journey that will test every part of my being as I cycle from London in the UK, through Africa, down to Cape Town in South Africa. The journey will take between 9 and 12 months to complete - a distance in the region of 20,000km. Each km travelled is dedicated to Shelby, my daughter who is learning disabled, and to everyone else that suffers from poor health.
There are no fancy hotels, no support vehicles, no backup plan. I will succeed, but really do need your help, and your support and encouragement. I am doing this because I am able to. There are many that would like to join, but just cannot because they don't have what many other people take for granted.
If you are blessed enough to have a computer, and the eyesight and the education to read this page, then please be an angel and share your goodwill with our selected charity - St Catherine's Hospice.
100% of your donations will go to St Catherine's Hospice. The actual trip is entirely self funded - but feel free to become a corporate sponsor or perhaps just sponsor something toward the trip.
